Painted Dog Conservation

Conservation through research and education on human and wildlife conflict in collaboration with Peter Blinstone.

Painted Dog Conservation's mission is to create an environment where painted dogs can thrive. The organization has put together a conservation model that is built to last long term, and make a significant difference to the painted dog population in Zimbabwe. Currently employing more than 60 people from the local villages to run conservation programs and run education and outreach programs.

The conservation programs include anti-poaching units, a rehabilitation facility, and pack monitoring. The education and outreach programs prioritize community spirit. There are established projects and programs that directly help improve the lives of local residents. PDC has set up a Children's Bush camp, a Visitors Centre, collaborative art projects, conservation clubs, community gardens, and more.
